Legally Blonde

If anyone hasnt seen this movie, they need to get down to the movie store and rent this. But first here is a quick recap. Within the first 10 minutes we have learned that Elle Woods(Reese Witherspoon)
is: President of her sorority- Delta Nu-, and that Elle's dreamy ( or slimy in my opinion) boyfriend Warner Hunnigton III is going to propose tonight. But when Warner brings up the topic of the future, Elle is sure he is going to pop the question, he instead dumbs her saying she is not serious enough for his family. He is going to Harvard after all. After moping around for weeks Elle realizes that to prove to Warner she is serious she will go to Harvard, after all she does have a 4.0 gpa- in fashion mechendizing. Her friends don't excatly get it but support her in their own special way. "' Harvard? Like on vacay?''Lets all go!' 'ROADTRIP!!!!'"When she gets in with a 179 on her L.S.A.Ts she is gawked at on campus, and doesnt exactly fit in. When she gets kicked out of class by some " 'awful preppy girl' " who turns out to be Warner's new fiance, Vivanne, Elle realizes shes going to have to work harder. The movie continues with halarious laughs, great music and loveable charatchers. Much diferent from the book by Amanda Brown, and like the musical, Its a must see for the whole family.

And for my first trick.....

My first movie I will review is........ RUNAWAY BRIDE starring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts.
For those who like deep romantic movies... this isn't it but it is still one of my favorites. Richard Gere plays a columnist for USA Today who is accused of writing "bitter diatribes of women." When he gets fired for using false facts on "the man eater" who ditches grooms at the alter( Julia Roberts charachter) his photographer friend tells him to go to her town and when she ditches her next groom he will have a front page article to publish. When Julia Roberts gets wind of his plan she decides to tell him the true facts and let him fallow her around for a thousand dollars. From here you can see where this movie is going but you still watch because by this time you have fallen in love with the characters. Continue watching for a lovable classic to keep in your collection for rainy nights when you curl up with friends and blankets.

why chick flixs?

Have you ever wanted to see a new movie, a chick flick, that is coming out only to have it bashed by movie critics? But, you still go see it just because why not and think its good? My theory to this confusing train of events is that newspapers with respected critics- say the New York Times- have older men go to see these movies. I mean really! These movies are made for women hence the CHICK part of the genres title!!! So I, a thirteen year old girl, have taken it upon myself to review these movies for the people and by a person these movies are aimed at. Women!
